I always hoped that one day I would be able to post this on the blog -

BLOSSOM AND PENELOPE ARE HOME!!!!

The were left in the lane not far from our cottage. We were out for the evening and received a call on the mobile at about 11.30pm from a neighhour who lives further up the lane. She was so excited and said that she felt convinced that they had the girls in their stable. Their son, Michael had driven up the lane and just seen their eyes shining in the dark and as we were not at home he took them home with him. They were soaked, bedraggled and bewildered, but definitely pleased to see all of us.

I could hardly sleep, I was so thrilled to have them home. We tucked them up to sleep in the kitchen and they seemed very content to be home and cuddled up to their soft toys again. I ended up coming downstairs to drink a cup of tea with them at 4am - I just had to check they were real!

I would like to say thank you to my two terrific children Amy and Charles and their partners, for all their love, support and practical help. Also, to my partner Ivan without whom I don't know how I would have got through this separation. A huge thank you to the people of Suffolk and all you fantastic dog lovers everywhere. Dogs are wonderful creatures and all of us who love them feel privileged to be so important to them.

Finally, I want to express my thanks to Jayne and everyone at www.doglost.co.uk, they have been incredible. It is a wonderful concept that has helped so many bereft, dog owners and brought so many loved pets home. It will have my full support from now on and I hope that of others dog lovers, too.

I hope shortly to post some photos of the returnees! I also intend to hold a welcome party in their honour. Another photo opportunity! Penelope insists that I don't take photos until she has lost the surplus pounds she has gained during her period of confinement.

Huge thanks, Anna

I am so glad for you. You don't know me, but I have been reading the threads on DogLost and was thrilled to hear that Blossom and Penny were home.
